January Jones was born on January 5, 1978 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She is the daughter of Karen Sue (née Cox), a sporting goods store manager, and Marvin Roger Jones, a gym teacher and fitness director. She is of Czech, Danish, English, Welsh, and German ancestry. She was named after the character January Wayne in Jacqueline Susann's potboiler novel turned film, Once Is Not Enough (1975). She has two sisters, Jacey Jones and Jina Jones].
Her family moved to the small town of Hecla, South Dakota, with a population of just some 400 souls in 1979, when she was one year old; they moved back to Sioux Falls in 1986. After graduating from Roosevelt High School, she moved to New York City to become a model. Despite her stature (5'6", which is short for a fashion model), she got modeling gigs, including Abercrombie & Fitch ads. However, modeling was just a means to an end, to get out of South Dakota and avoid going to college.
She got her first taste of acting from TV commercials and found that she had flair for it, even though she did not act in high school and had no training. January appeared in a couple of television pilots and a cable television series before making her big screen debut in All the Rage (1999), an indie that never got a real release. She followed it up with a small role in the teen thriller The Glass House (2001). Her actual debut in the sense of attracting attention was in the near silent role of the beauty who entices Jane Fonda's son, Troy Garity, in the Bruce Willis-Cate Blanchett-Billy Bob Thornton comedy Bandits (2001). It was not a career-making part. At the time the movie was released, she was ending a three-year relationship with Ashton Kutcher.
Small roles followed, including a "don't blink or you won't see me" part in the Adam Sandler-Jack Nicholson comedy Anger Management (2003). She gained some career traction with a good role in another comedy, American Wedding (2003), a sequel to American Pie (1999). Until she landed the part on Mad Men (2007), which made its debut on AMC in 2007, her career was steady but undistinguished. "I choose roles that are not me", January has said. The role of Betty Draper has garnered her two Golden Globe nominations and an Emmy nomination as Best Actress. Her cool, Grace Kelly-ish blonde ice queen looks -- counterpointed by her soul burning in her bright blue eyes -- have established her as a retro icon of the 21st Century.- Actress

Nicky Katt has been acting since the age of 7, when he appeared on the TV series CHiPs (1977) in 1977. He continued to work steadily through the 1980s on shows like Quincy M.E. (1976), Father Murphy (1981), and V (1984) but did not fall into the trap of many child actors who became identified with one famous role because his child roles were as guest spots or, as in the case of Herbie, the Love Bug (1982), were canceled early on, or can't get work as adults and allow their lives to fall to pieces.
In a way, Katt has had two careers. The one as the child actor of the late 1970s and early 1980s, and as the character actor of the 1990s who so often played the bully or thug. Extremely talented and at ease in front of a camera in the medium of either television or feature film, Katt has had a very impressive body of work for someone of his age and looks to gain much in the way of future stardom as the series Boston Public (2000) clearly exhibits his leading-man potential.- Actor

Mo Brings Plenty is an enrolled Lakota who hails from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. His traditional name -- given to him as a young boy -- is Ta Sunke Wospapi ("catches his horse"); it befits a man who spends more time on his horses than anywhere else. As a Makes Room on his mother's side and a Brings Plenty on his father's, he is the stock of his grandfathers who fought at the Battle at Little Big Horn. Those familiar with the battle will know the strengths of those names and understand why Mo sees the world through the lens of the forces and sacrifices his family and ancestors made so that he could be here today. His relatives long passed are an intrinsic part of everything he does: every decision he makes and everywhere he goes.
As an actor, Mo is best known in his self-titled role as "Mo Brings Plenty," Chief Thomas Rainwater's enforcer on the Taylor Sheridan/ViacomCBS record-breaking juggernaut series Yellowstone. Moviegoers can now catch him playing "Shep Wauneka" in the newly released Jurassic World Dominion (2022) and as "Ottawa Jones" in Showtime's Peabody award-winning limited series The Good Lord Bird (2021). He has played "Crazy Horse," "Sitting Bull," and many other historical Indian notables who have solidified their place in this Country's history. And he has spent a fair amount of time in the biopic world twice portraying Charlie Soap -- the husband of the first woman elected Chief of the Cherokee Nation, the late Wilma Mankiller-- in The Cherokee Word for Water and Gloria Steinem's The Glorias, respectively.
Mo Brings Plenty is an actor, horse stunt rider, rancher, and American Indian storyline consultant. But above all, he is a man who wholeheartedly believes in human kindness, and he trusts the good in humanity still exists and feels it just needs to be dusted off a bit. Out of respect and honor for those who have come before us, Mo knows we have a profound obligation to leave a livable planet for those who will follow after we are gone, and he starts and ends every day, with thoughts of how he and we can make the world a better place while we are here.
When Mo isn't working as an actor, he can be found ranching or seeking ways to give back to his Lakota communities and Indian Country -- ways that include preserving culture, tradition and seeking cultural truth in diversity.- Rachael Bella was born in a small town in South Dakota where she lived until she was three years old. (Her parents divorced shortly after her birth.) At three, she moved to New York where her mother finished college, began graduate school, but then became ill. After that, Rachael's only respite from school and the tiny apartment in which they lived, was her once-weekly musical theater class, the high point of her life. At the age of eight, she sang a solo at her theater school's recital. Her singing won her praise and brought her to the attention of several New York agents. She signed with one, hoping to work on the stage, but while she waited for child roles to become available, she began going to film auditions and was cast in a series of movie roles. Over time, she discovered that, even more than music, acting, was her passion.

Flashy, leggy, bouffant blonde Dorothy Provine was a solid screen representation of the Kennedyesque era when life seemed so full of fun, so innocent and so optimistic. This sparkling beauty also gave TV audiences a double dose blast to the past via her popular co-starring roles on late 50s/early 60s series TV. A talented girl whose comedic gifts were never sufficiently tapped into by Hollywood, Dorothy nevertheless secured a dedicated fan base merely on her sunny smile, creamy good looks and carefree radiance alone.
Graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Theater Arts. Hollywood folklore has it that the South Dakota-born (but raised in San Francisco) actress landed the role of the notorious femme bank robber in the low-budget "B" film The Bonnie Parker Story (1958) just three days after arriving in Hollywood. It certainly proved to be a lucky break, although it didn't clinch the movie stardom she might have expected. On the contrary, Dorothy was forced to languish in such predicable programmers as Riot in Juvenile Prison (1959) and Live Fast, Die Young (1958), while playing the gigantic, radiation-exposed love interest in the poorly-executed The 30 Foot Bride of Candy Rock (1959) opposite rolypoly comedian Lou Costello in his only film effort after breaking up with partner Bud Abbott. Fortunately, TV made up for her lack of success on film.
Signed up by Warner Bros. and seemingly better suited for the small screen, Dorothy became one of the more visible female faces on TV and would be best remembered for her period roles as 1890s saloon singer Rocky Shaw, the friend of "Gold Rush" fortune seekers Roger Moore and Jeff York in The Alaskans (1959) and, better yet, as Pinky Pinkham, the Charleston-dancing flapper in the Warner Bros. adventure series The Roaring 20's (1960).
A vivacious guest on scores of other TV shows, Dorothy occasionally reappeared in lightweight 1960s films wherein she generally projected a squeaky-clean image playing various sparkly housewives, girlfriends and sisters. She was part of the all-star zaniness in It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963) as Milton Berle's wife; appeared as Jack Lemmon's bright-eyed better half in the suburban comedy Good Neighbor Sam (1964); played Hayley Mills's beleaguered older sis in the feline caper That Darn Cat! (1965); had a slam-bang cameo as Lily Olay the barroom singer who belts out the memorable "He Shouldn't-A, Hadn't-A, Oughtn't-A Swang on Me" in the slapstick farce The Great Race (1965); showed up as the true-blue gal pining for Jim Hutton in the bank heist comedy Who's Minding the Mint? (1967); and made her last silver screen appearance alongside Dick Van Dyke in the comedy Never a Dull Moment (1968), which did not live up to its title.
During this time Dorothy occasionally made use of her vocal talents on the live stage, and appeared briefly as a duo with George Burns in a 1963 Las Vegas nightclub act, replacing Burns' ailing wife Gracie Allen, who by this time had fully retired due to serious heart problems. Eventually, however, she lost interest in her career.
Dorothy abruptly left the business in 1969 after marrying director Robert Day, who was involved in several of the Tarzan movies. She showed up a couple of times on TV in the 70s but, for the most part, found her self-imposed retirement completely to her liking. The couple moved permanently to Bainbridge Island, Washington in 1981, and there she found contentment simply gardening and tending to her animals. They had one son, Robert Day Jr., who became a musician. Dorothy battled emphysema in her last years and died at a nearby hospice on April 25, 2010, at age 75.- Chelsea DeBoer was born on 29 August 1991 in Vermillion, South Dakota, USA. - Born in South Dakota, the son of a railway and factory worker, Hagerthy arrived in Glendale, California at the age of four when his family moved there. After graduating from school, he studied at Glendale City College and gained his first acting experience in amateur school and college plays. While on stage, he was 'talent scouted', invited to an audition at Warner Brothers and subsequently recruited for a part in the crime drama I Was a Communist for the F.B.I. (1951). Hagerthy then briefly worked as an ambulance driver before being conscripted into the army. Initially trained as an infantryman at Fort Ord, he was later seconded to a television subsidiary of the army and became involved in the production of the syndicated TV show The Gray Ghost (1957) (the story of Confederate cavalry officer John S. Mosby and his battalion, known as Mosby's Raiders). He made a guest appearance in a 1957 episode.
Hagerthy became best-known as co-star of the TV series Sky King (1951) as 'Clipper', the lead character's nephew. He also featured in the pilot episode of The Beverly Hillbillies (1962) as the geologist who first discovers oil on the Clampett's property. He is an actor, known for Beauty and the Beast (1991), FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992) and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996). He has been married to Carla McNally since 1981. They have eight children.- Jessi Combs was born in the Black Hills of Rapid City, South Dakota. With a lifelong desire to become a race-car driver, this fearless young lady found a love for speed and its machines at a very young age. Her family explored everything around them and gave her a solid appreciation for off-roading as well as racing in many forms. In addition to her love for everything automotive, Jessi is somewhat of an artist and spends as much time as she can creating with her own hands. She loves metal-working, leather-craft, and photography, and can make almost anything anyone can dream up. She is an independent and adventurous spirit.
After turning down a full scholarship to a prominent interior-design school, she traveled North America before settling in Denver, Colorado to pursue a snowboarding career. This proved to be more painfully demanding physically than she had anticipated, and she changed to a career that involved her love for the throttle pedal and showcased her artistic abilities. She moved to Laramie, Wyoming to attend WyoTech, where she studied Collision/Refinishing, Chassis Fabrication, Street Rod Fabrication, and Trim/Upholstery. She graduated at the top of her class with a degree in Custom Automotive Fabrication.
Her time and involvement at the trade school led to her first fabrication job when the marketing department hired her and another student, Ben Bright, to build a car from the ground up in 6 months to debut at the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association's (SEMA) show. The car was auctioned for charity and Ms. Combs hasn't looked back since.
While her chosen career path didn't initially include time on television, she found herself on "Overhaulin'" as a guest fabricator and was soon hired as the co-host of Xtreme 4x4, part of the Powerblock on Spike TV, a position she held for four years and 90+ episodes. She and co-host Ian Johnson built everything from race trucks to street trucks, and trail rigs to trailers, for an audience of millions.
In a widely-publicized yet unexplainable accident in 2007, while working in the studio, Jessi was folded in two by a large piece of machinery that had fallen on her and burst, fracturing her spine's L3. The accident should have left her wheelchair-bound, but after 8 months of surgery, bed rest, therapy, and help from God, Jessi was granted full medical release. Appreciative of her health and her time with Xtreme 4x4, Jessi chose to move on with her career and in 2008 she left the show in pursuit of other opportunities.
The next year was full of appearances on shows like "2 Guys Garage", "TruckU", "SEMA Show Special", "DuplicolorTV", "Full Throttle TV", "Pirate4x4 TV Live", and "Bosch 125." Her on-screen personality took shape as she honed her skills as a TV host while maintaining her integrity as a metal fabricator, builder, and industrial artist. In 2009 she appeared as a host and builder on the 7th season of "Mythbusters", filling in while Kari Byron went on maternity leave.
Recently, the Velocity Channel has been her home for television; she could be found on "All Girls Garage" and "Overhaulin'"s 2011 return to TV as a host and 'A-Team'-hybrid member. She can be seen on "The List: 1001 Car Things To Do Before You Die" on AOL's autoblog.com, also airing on the Velocity.
The training associated with these programs has allowed Jessi to become a performance driver for the film and commercial world. She has driven everything from super cars to monster trucks, relics to rally cars, hot rods, two wheels, four wheels and even at times, no wheels. Stunt driving has opened a whole new passion into the arena of possibilities between woman and machine for Jessi.
When it comes to competitive driving, Combs feels right at home in the driver seat. She has raced Ultra4's King of the Hammers in 2010, 2012, 2013, taking home a spec class win in 2014 as the first female to ever place at any Ultra4 event; she pressed on and wrapped up the season with the National Championship. Finishing the Baja 1000 is winning, although in 2011 taking home a class 10 podium finish is a true landmark in her racing resume. The North American Eagle Supersonic Speed Challenger added Jessi to the team for the 2013 attempt to break the 512 mph Women's Landspeed World record made in 1976 by Kitty O'Neil; to date, Jessi is the fastest woman on 4-wheels holding a record of 398 mph with a top speed of 440 mph (the team remains in pursuit for her to become The Fastest Woman on Earth). In early 2015 she competed in the Rallye Aicha des Gazelles, a 9-day all-female rally race that only uses 1960 hand-drawn maps and compasses; they pulled 10th place overall and a first-place finish in the First Participation category. The Race of Gentleman, held by the longstanding Oilers car club, invited Jessi as the first woman to compete in their carnival event by racing a 1913 twin-engine Model T down the beach; her ability to handle any situation with any car will forever be in the history books.
Jessi is proud of the relationships she has fostered throughout her career and she continues to represent many companies as a brand representative as well as a product expert. These relationships coupled with her skills provided her the opportunity to develop a woman's line of welding gear (PPE) with Lincoln Electric in order to fill the demand and growth of ladies in the industry. Jessi has joined 8 years of epic 4-wheeling journeys with Warn Industries and proceeds to spread the word about their proven quality with the rest of the world. As a hands on builder, aligning with establishments such as CRC and Industrial Metal Supply only help her mission to express to others what woman are capable of in the shop.

Tall (6'2"), burly, and reliable character actor Gene Roth was born Eugene Oliver Edgar Stutenroth on January 8, 1903 in Redfield, South Dakota. He was the youngest of three sons born to German father Eugene Stutenroth and Swedish mother Anna Christina Olsen. Roth and his two brothers were raised by their mother after their father abandoned them when Gene was only two years old. Gene graduated from West High School in Minneapolis in 1920. He began his acting career doing uncredited bit roles in silent pictures in the early 1920's. Moreover, Roth worked as a movie theater manager and built and installed pipe organs before his acting career took off in the 1940's following his arrival in Hollywood, California in 1943.
Often cast as threatening heavies (he's perhaps best known for his portrayals of bad guys in many 1940's comedy shorts he did with The Three Stooges), scruffy working class types, and rough-around-the-edges law officers (he played initially skeptical small town sheriffs in the 1950's creature feature classics Attack of the Giant Leeches (1959) and The Spider (1958)), Gene worked profusely in both films and television alike in a career that spanned a little over two decades. After retiring from acting in the early 1970's, Roth worked part time as a liquor counterman at a drug store and was an active participant in the nostalgia convention circuit. He was married four times and was the father of three children. Gene's life came to a tragic untimely end at age 73 when he was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while crossing the street in Los Angeles, California on July 19, 1976.- Writer

Soft-spoken small-part actor Clinton Sundberg was a minor player on the MGM payroll during the late 1940s and '50s. A one-time teacher who turned his focus to character acting, his rather meek countenance and light, raspy tenor tones befitted a comfortable niche playing courteous servile types in mostly sentimental tales. As various desk clerks, waiters and menservants (and maybe a couple of out-of-character villains), he seemed to back up a large roster of MGM's biggest stars in musicals (he himself didn't sing) including June Allyson in Good News (1947), Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in The Barkleys of Broadway (1949) and Betty Hutton in Annie Get Your Gun (1950), to name a few. Of these, he may be best remembered as Judy Garland's benevolent bartender in Easter Parade (1948). Other more prominent parts came as a snippy butler in The Girl Next Door (1953) and private eye J. Scott Smart's "Man Friday" in the Universal mystery programmer The Fat Man (1951).
A Broadway veteran, Sundberg's better known stage roles were as Mortimer in "Arsenic and Old Lace" and Mr. Kraler in "The Diary of Anne Frank." TV allowed him to be a bit more assertive in personality while also showing his intelligent side as assorted doctor and professor types. Sundberg went on to appear in dozens of voice-overs and commercials in the 1970s. He died of heart failure in 1987 shortly after his 84th birthday.- Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse was born on 28 April 1976 in Rosebud Reservation, South Dakota, USA. He is an actor and producer, known for Dances with Wolves (1990), Into the West (2005) and DreamKeeper (2003).
